Homeschooling is a RIGHT!
Many of you know about the new California law that virtually outlaws homeschooling. Parents aren’t allowed to home school their kids without an education in teaching. This is outrageous. I recently read on someone’s blog that he believes this is a good thing. It was a short post with only one point. That one and only point was you can’t walk into a public school and just ask for a teaching job, you have to have a degree in teaching. The public school system is very corrupt. Children go crazy, teachers yell, students do anything and everything but learn. The classes are overcrowded. Because of the fact that there are so many other children who also need to learn, kids don’t get to live up to their full potential. Much of the work teachers give is “busy work” and isn’t teaching the kids anything. Homeschooling allows personal one on one attention with the kid. In one diligent day of work, you can accomplish what would take a week to do in public school. The parents also know their children way better than a teacher ever could. They know how their kid works best and since its personal one on one attention the child’s need can be catered to. Many homeschoolers score better on tests than kids who attend public school. Homeschooling is a right that shouldn’t be taken away from the parents and put into the hands of the government.

My grandson was set in the hall because the teacher said he was disrupting HER CLASS. Is that teaching? How does a child learn anything in the hallway? I taught him till he decided to go back to public school for his Jr. and Sr. years. He is taking Computer Tech and is #1 in his class. They tested him upon entering his Jr. year and he places higher than anyone in the whole school. Why? becauses of his homeschooling.
I think homeschooling is a right for anyone and everyone. I don't think the parents need to be teachers in order to be an appropriate teacher for their child. The parent must be dedicated to it, though. I think they must be sure of the decision to homeschool but it's certainly a right!
My family knows a family with 8 kids and the lady is homeschooling all the kids. Some have graduated and some are pre-schoolers. She said it is very hard as she has 4 in different grades right now but she saids it is well worth it.
I wanted to be homeschooled but my mom decided that she thought it was best that I go to public school. She was concerned that she wasn't going to do a good enough job homeschooling me since she hadn't went to college.
Although I was never homeschooled, I know kids who are. They are very smart and well-behaved. I think it is a right for all parents.
Homeschooling is right for some children. I can see the advantages in homeschooling but Christian School is great too.
Yes, I agree Christian school is great too. But it's also very expensive and a luxury most familes can't afford. Although homeschooling does cost money, it's not nearly as much as going to a Christian school.
